Birds are kind of cool, I guess. But would you ever buy one? And who would you buy it from? Here's our sales pitch, aptly titled "Birds"!

This is possibly about a cat being quite upset at being taken advantage of. But it's in the cat's nature, and it can't change. Enjoy these 'Hurt Felines'.

Do you ever feel irrational? Like Pi? Well. You're not alone. Enjoy this song, titled 'Irrational Man', that's vaguely about math, and being irrational.

Sometimes you just wanna drink, and you don't wanna talk to anybody, you don't wanna see anybody, hell, you don't even wanna SMELL anybody. Don't you wish you had a song that reflected that desire? Well, now you have one! So have a listen to 'Leave Me Alone', and then leave me alone.

Do you ever have those moments where you feel unreasonably upset, but you have no way of expressing it? Well, here is a song to do it for you! It's a parody of Perry Como's 'Magic Moments', and it's called 'Tragic Moments'! It covers a variety of situations which most would find unpleasant. Have a listen, and cheer up!

So yeah. I was on vacation. So this one was late. But you like goats? Then this will TOTALLY make up for it. Also it might be viewed as racist. But if you see it as racist, then YOU'RE the racist. How does that make you feel??? Anyway, here is 'My Favourite Goat'.

Oh hi! Never fear, we will survive and rebuild after the great Time-Space Disaster of 2012. In honour of spring, here is an a capella track called 'Springtime'. It has some lovely suggestions for spring activities.

Let the funk run through you like a bad fish taco... allow the sweet frequencies to lull you into dancing... Don't blow your Tweeter. And here it is, ladies and lads: ' Buzzin' ', A cover of an OVERWERK song.

Nope, still not February yet, apparently! Take a listen to our synth-pop electro song, 'Electronic Wizard'! It came to us in a dream that we invented for the sake of this very small write-up. Inspiration comes from all over.

You all know Auld Lang Syne? I would hope so, anyway. I'm sure you'll recognize the tune. Well, this is a parody of it, in honour of the new year, and of trigonometry. I guess. It's called "Tan Cos Sin", and it goes a little something like this:

Do you remember that one time in December when people celebrated Christmas? I don't! So, to remind myself for the years to come, I've written a song about this very month!
If we get 5 comments on our Facebook page with your interpretations of the lyrics, then I'll post up the real lyrics! (as you'll notice, it's a bit hard to understand them through all the robot videogame noises!)
And now, fly fishermen and flyfisherwomen: "December"!
December 15th, 2011
As stated on the home page, this is a song called "Arrow to the Knee", and it's about a guard in Skyrim getting an arrow to the knee, and catalogues some of his thoughts as he copes with this tragedy. Take a listen, share, and enjoy!

It's November. Not December. It will be December shortly. But it isn't December right now. Got it? No? Well, here's some musical persuasion, with a few colourful words thrown in the mix. So if you've never heard a swear in your life, or you have kids that have never heard a swear in their lives, I don't recommend listening to this song. It's not really offensive, just some foul language. Anyway, take a listen to "Not Christmas Yet", I'm sure I'm not the only one that has this opinion of what happens every year after Halloween.

This country monstrosity is called "Eyesore", and it's about having an awful redneck wife. That is the best country twang my voice can muster. Thankfully. Well, take a listen to it, maybe you'll like it. Hopefully you can't relate.

So here is our attempt at a song in French. It's about Halloween, of course, and for the most part rhymes with itself. Hopefully our grammar is good enough to be understood. By those of you that speak French. The rest of you can just nod and smile. And get drunk in costume like the rest of us. Anyway, enjoy "C'est L'Halloween!"

Have you ever been skunked? Do you know what kind of feeling it gives you? This new song pretty much sums up how cool it can be to be skunked. And by cool, I mean smelly, unpleasant, and lingering, but the song sure makes it sound cool!
Share and enjoy, good people! And try not to get "Skunked"!

Do you love your mother? Are you secretly (or openly) upset when someone makes a yo mama joke at her expense? Well, this song is for you! Take part in the new craze that's hit my brain! And the brains of...maybe 3 other people.
Anyway, enjoy 'Your Mom'!
I know I did. Her company, that is. She has lovely stories, and a certain rapturous eloquence when she speaks. It's a true delight.

Watermelons! Not a whole lot to say about this, mainly because I've no idea what it's really about. It's creatively called 'Watermelon Song", and it features a man with a watermelon hat, as well as some sketchy mandolin 'skills'.

This is our reggae song, subject matter: cupcakes. It's called 'Jamaican Me Cupcakes'. It follows the brief life of a cupcake, through its birth up to the point where it accepts its fate. Like most cupcakes, it has a moment of panic when it realizes what will inevitably happen to it. Luckily the creepy Jamaican man was around to help it through that emotional time.

As stated, this song is utter nonsense. A bunch of random noises put in to a sampler. Not really anything to be said about this track, you should just listen to it and hopefully enjoy the absurdity of it. Features poor caricatures of Gollum, an Irish man, Yoda, and Sean Connery.
Share and....enjoy?

So yeah, this song is about having a strong exterior will, but a kind and sentimental organ that betrays your innermost feelings at the drop of a hat, departure of a good friend, or the death of a beloved family pet. Or something. Anyway, 'Sensitive Skin' isn't nearly as humourous as originally intended, but I think it has other redeeming qualities, and it certainly won't be the last in the line of this type of song. Anyway, please listen, share and enjoy!

You know what I like doing? Dreaming! Usually I'll only remember a couple of dreams every month, but I'm quite sure that if I remembered all of them, I'd be some crazy artist that made random and unexpected things on a mostly-regular basis...
WHO ON EARTH WOULD DO SOMETHING CRAZY LIKE THAT?
Love us as much as your mother loves you, because when you support our music, it's like you're supporting us to make the decision to stop working altogether and be an artist. We're pretty sure our mothers still love us for that...

Life in the African Savannah can be challenging. Most animals manage to either cope or die, but what do you do if you can't do either of those two things? Well, you turn to drugs as an alternative, of course. This is a brief summary of the life of one particular elephant that couldn't deal with the stress, fell in to a downward spiral, only to pull himself out of desperation, aided by a newfound family.

The Ninja Pills jingle was born in 2008 as a project we did for school. It was well received then, and we hope it will be well received now, especially with the added video! We re-recorded it for this release, complete with hilariously horrendous 'female' backing vocals! We decided it was funnier to just leave them in. Anyway, take a peek at the video on our YouTube!
And below is just a link to the song! Share and Enjoy!

"Don't worry, I shoot rainbows from my liver." Probably the most reassuring thing I could hear from a talking stuffed animal if I were depressed. This track is quite heavily autotuned because I thought it sounded neat. Well, take a listen and let the memories flood back like an ocean of boomerangs!

You can't piss on hospitality. If there's one thing I learned from the movie Troll 2, it's that. Didn't say anything about the movie itself. Musically. Yeah. Anyway, "Oh My God!" is a tribute song that highlights some of the better known bits from this amazing movie. If you haven't seen it, I've compiled a lovely 20 minute clip show to point out some of the more ridiculous moments. But you should also watch the movie itself. Link to part one!!
Share and enjoy! Also, it wouldn't be a Troll 2 song without us doing a bit of trollin' ourselves. You'll find out what that means.

In the week of St. Patrick's Day, it's only fitting to make a spanish sounding song... right? "Agua de Alejandro" is our release this time; A song about a historian named Alejandro who has an incorrect image of how much water a person should drink daily (*Spoiler* he doesn't drink enough!).
So tap your feet and dance to the beat, and share and listen and love!

"Syndrome the Dog" is written and performed in the style of Brian Setzer, lyrical content notwithstanding. It's about getting a new dog, only to find that it's not very obedient. But that's not the dog's fault, necessarily. It's just a little special in the head. This turns out to be a somewhat endearing quality at times, though, so the dog gets to stay! How touching
Cross your fingers that we figure out how to make our "Mine Me a New Woman" video during this break.

♥♥♥ February 14th 2011 ♥♥♥
We decided to write a song in honour of the cheesy holiday known as Valentine's Day. It's the story of a love between a Butcher and a Vegan, who don't know about their respective lifestyles. They find out by the end, and it all falls apart. I'm sure you've all seen this happen time and time again. Like, exactly those circumstances.
This one features some real instruments (electric and acoustic guitars, electric bass) this time (as opposed to all the midi controlled ones from previous releases), so it's got a bit more of the human feel to it. It's called "TITLE" and features Ben as the Vegan, as well as both the acoustic and electric guitars, and Alex as the Butcher, as well as the bass.
We wanted to have a video for Mine Me a New Woman, but could quite get it done. Hopefully by the next release it'll be ready.
Anyway, this song is called "Lettuce Meat". Share and enjoy!

What genre is this one? It's obvious. Rock! (it's not really)
But seriously, seriously, this is a song about a very popular game called Minecraft, by Mojang Specifications. The title of this song is "Mine Me a New Woman", and follows a poor soul who thought he was in love, but alas, 'tis unrequited.
It includes a piano part that samples the sounds of the piano from the recently added note blocks from the game. This instrument features in the prechorus and the chorus. We hope to create a video for this one as well, so that may be included with the mid-February Monthly Double!
Included with this Monthly Double is a video to go with 'Oh Hi Lisa'. Take a look on our YouTube channel to watch!
Check back on February the 14th for the next Monthly Double!

Alright! The first post for the Oat Poet's Monthly Double!
The first instalment of our Monthly Double is a song inspired by Tommy Wiseau's wonderful 2003 movie, "The Room". It's titled 'Oh Hi Lisa', and goes through Johnny's (the main character, portrayed by Tommy Wiseau himself) interactions with various other members of the cast. The track starts off with a short rendition of the main theme from the movie before shifting to the rest of the song. If you haven't seen this movie, I strongly recommend you change that. Watch it in a group, it's way way way better that way. Enjoy!
P.S. There are some naughty words in this song, so if you're sensitive, I recommend avoiding this track. But it's funny.
