Guess why they're potatoes!

This page is just to store some of the clutter from the main page. And so you can revisit some of our witty posts, obviously. I haven't kept the links, since I figured they were less important. Maybe when I'm less lazy I'll add them back in. Once a Monthly Double Archive is set up as well, those links will still be active.

So although the project is "The Monthly Double" there'll sometimes be hiccups (like moving apartments on the same day, as Ben needed to do). This song is a representation of the lives the Oat Poets used to be a big part of before dropping the street life to make clean, honest livings in the real world. Occasionally these parts of the Poets come out in full force. This is one of those occasions. You'll find the aural pleasure on our Monthly Double page! Enjoy, let us know what you think!

Also, though in real life we wouldn't like it so much if people followed us all the time, or wrote all over our walls, it'd be swell if you followed us and wrote all over our walls in DL (digital life, for all you RL'ers) via our Links Page!

This time around we have another tribute song! The lucky recipient of the tribute is....*drum roll*... Troll 2! And the song is aptly titled (in honour of one of the more well known lines from the film) "Oh My God!" That's right, everyone's favourite Troll movie not actually about trolls! I'd been working on lyrics for this for quite some time, but until now, it had been largely on the shelf. If you haven't seen this movie, 2 things will happen. First, you will not understand much of this song, and second, you have to see the movie. Deal? Deal. To listen to the song, go to the Monthly Double page! And check the social media on our Links Page!

This edition of the Monthly Double was originally just going to be a cover of David Bowie's Suffragette City, but we decided to go with a parody instead! After some pondering, we decided to go write "Boba Fett City", in honour of the lovable bounty hunter from Star Wars.

Also, I SWEAR we'll have more videos soon!

Also also, please check out our various social media. You can find them all from our Links Page.

Next up! I (Ben) decided there weren't enough (or any, as my minimal research concludes) songs about the importance of drinking water. The idea behind our most recent Monthly Double is, unarguably, the first thing I try before concluding that I have some sickness/disease/other ailment. Drink water often, or you will be less happy than you ever could be. That's a fact!

Also, still finding time for the Mine Me a New Woman video. We'll try our best to get it on our Youtube page by the end of the month (fingers crossed!).

Here we go! The latest instalment of The Monthly Double is now available! This one is called "Syndrome the Dog", and it's about getting a new dog that seems to be a bit special.

Sadly, we do not have our video for Mine Me a New Woman ready yet. Sorry.

Happy Valentine's Day! Our Monthly Double this week is about a love that cannot be; a love between a butcher and a vegan. They remain blissfully unaware of what the other is until the last verse. The song is called "Lettuce Meat".

I hope you all manage to quantify your love with capitalism! Much love from the two of us ? (I had no idea you could bolden symbols)
